Overlooking the endless emerald trees of the otherwise barren Ongava Plains, any veranda view from Little Ongava is awe-inspiring to say the least. With just three rooms it is exceptionally intimate: even if you don’t book it for exclusive use, you might well have the lodge to yourself.
The accommodation at Little Ongava is in just three spacious and fully air-conditioned suites, each elegantly furnished with a full en suite bathroom. The suites have a floor to ceiling glass frontage which enables you to wake to the sun rising over the plains. Spacious decking and a private plunge pool outside your suite are perfect for an afternoon lounge before an evening game drive.
Each suite has a sala, a private living room, as well as an outdoor shower. The spacious dining room and lounge area has also been situated to fully encompass the views. You can also dine in the lodge or al fresco in the bush, your table lit by star and lantern light.

Ongava provides the quintessential Namibian safari experience, with a particular focus on game drives and bush walks in the reserve and the nearby Etosha National Park. Tracking rhino on foot with an expert guide is a highlight.
There is some excellent bird watching, with several desert species such as Ruppel’s parrot and pygmy falcon. The region particularly lends itself to spotting raptor, as they coast on wind currents above before making a spiraling descent on unsuspecting prey.
