Location
Musekese is a recently renovated bush camp that overlooks a lagoon in the Kafue National Park.
It has the best guides of any camp in Zambia; their knowledge is absolutely phenomenal, and you’ll come away bursting with fabulous facts and enthusiasm.

Accommodation
There are four reed and thatch chalets, decorated in a simple style, complete with en suite bathrooms that include personal touches, such as a handwritten note to welcome you.
Each chalet has its own wooden deck that overlooks the thriving life of the lagoon.
Owners Phil and Tyrone, both of whom are committed conservationists and working tirelessly to improve Kafue, are based at the camp and will guide you themselves along with their colleague, James

Experiences
There are options for bush walks and drives, but as the camp opens out onto a large watery area, puku, hippo and elephant often come right up to the tents.
Birdwatchers should take a boat tour: the banks of the Kafue are lined with kingfisher, fish eagle, and other water birds coming down to fish.
After a day of wildlife viewing, head back to the camp for a pre-dinner drink in the bar, followed by a freshly prepared meal in the lantern lit dining area.
If you’re feeling competitive, challenge Phil and Tyrone to a board game after dinner.
