Conservation
Part of the Porini Camps (PC) portfolio, Rhino River Camp and all of the other PC camps in Kenya are based on private conservancies. This means that the entire portfolio is used to manage and improve protected wildlife regions, owned and run by local people
Community
Porini Camps aid local Maasai communities in reinforcing their traditionally constructed bomas to help prevent predators from entering villages and livestock enclosures. The reinforced bomas ensure that predators that target their natural prey are no longer threats to the community.
Environment
The camp runs almost entirely from solar and hydroelectric power ensuring its impact on the environment is kept to a minimum.
