Location
About 2 hours from Arequipa, and near the colonial village of Yanque, Belmond Casitas gives you access to the natural wonder of the Colca Valley; a place that has everything from active volcanoes, to one of the world’s deepest canyons, to wildlife, history and culture.
Accommodation
There’s no crowding here – your casita sits within the lovely gardens with plenty of space around it, giving you a great sense of privacy, although you may wake in the morning to see horses or alpacas grazing in the garden.
Las Casitas is traditional in style and blends unobtrusively into the landscape with a village feel. The swimming pool is built with Colca Valley stone and has amazing views of the Andean terraces. Décor is elegantly simple – the opulence comes from quality rather than extravagant styling, with good use made of natural materials.
Each casita has its own plunge pool, and also an outside shower so you can take in the wondrous views at every moment. If you prefer, you can soak inside in the luxurious marble surrounded bathtub.

With a backdrop of the amazing Colca Valley, a meal in the Curina restaurant is quite an experience; indigenous dishes such as purple corn, spicy peppers, native stews and marinated meats are a speciality. We recommend finishing your meal with local cheese and honey before relaxing in the hotel’s well-stocked library or the Puccq’lo bar.
