Location
The Matusadona National Park is a semi-circular region of hills, valleys and escarpments on the southern shore of Lake Kariba. Bumi Hills Safari Lodge is nestled on the edge of the park ensuring guests can enjoy complete privacy for their game viewing and panoramic views of the lake.
Accommodation
The camp comprises ten spacious tented rooms each with a bedroom and large en-suite bathroom with double vanities, a private veranda, shower and bath.
The central part of the camp comprises a stunning infinity pool, stylish bar and dining room all boasting breath-taking views.

There is also the flagship Baobab Villa; a larger two-bedroom family villa, ideal for families who want added exclusivity. Villa guests will enjoy use of a private butler, guide and vehicle during their stay.
Experiences
During your time at Bumi Hills you can enjoy a wide variety of activities with an emphasis on really experiencing the diversity of Matusadona. Game drives offer opportunities to get up close and personal to all the big game in the park and cover more ground.
Walking safaris allow guests to concentrate on the smaller flora and fauna so often missed on game drives whilst this is also one of the few places that you will have the opportunity to track rhino on foot through the bush.
Boating safaris offer a different perspective to view the wildlife and are especially good for birding and may be combined with some superb fishing if of interest.
Every guest will also enjoy a picturesque cruise at sunset with a cold drink in hand and once darkness falls expert guides can lead star-gazing experiences back at the lodge. It is also possible to visit local villages and gain an understanding of the traditions and everyday life in the area.

Also part of the African Bush Camp’s portfolio, encouraging and empowering the harmonious coexistence of wildlife and human populations is a priority at Bumi Hills. In Mola, Zimbabwe, competition for the limited natural resources has created a constant conflict between communities and wildlife. ABC have partnered with the community and aims to implement various techniques to restore harmony.

The energy source at Bumi Hills is solar and they have implemented low energy lighting systems, wastewater treatment, grey water recycling, and single use plastic reduction initiatives.

ABC are committed to sustainable development through creating opportunities that empower rural communities located in vulnerable wildlife areas in Zimbabwe, Botswana and Zambia. They create these opportunities through education, community empowerment, community infrastructure and conservation initiatives.
