Location
Accessible by both road and air, Chobe Chilwero is set in the heart of the bush on the edge of Chobe National Park, home to the world's largest remaining population of elephants. The grand lodge sits in a luscious green oasis alongside the meandering Chobe River, offering spectacular views that stretch all the way from the river banks to the deserts of neighbouring Namibia.

Accomodation
Each of the 15 brick-and-thatch cottages at Chobe Chilwero are bright, luxurious and extremely spacious. Gorgeously furnished with a large sumptuous bed, solid hardwood furniture and a fully-stocked mini bar, you’ll have plenty of room to kick back and relax. Step into the en-suite bathroom and you’ll find a double washbasin, large rain shower and a free-standing bathtub big enough for two to share a soak in after a day of exploring the National Park.

To the back of each suite a private deck awaits with views of the well-pruned gardens and beyond to the river. Opt for the romantic Pool Suite and add your own plunge pool to the list of amazing amenities.
Chilwero’s main area is equally opulent. Sink into the sofas in the elegant lounge whilst getting lost in a book from the library; peruse intriguing wares at the curio shop; or spend some time recuperating in the only full service spa in the Botswana safari circuit. There’s also a serene pool surrounded by sunloungers, ideal for basking in the sun or shade bathing beneath the trees.

Whether you choose to dine in the inviting inside dining area or outside on the veranda, meals at the camp are exquisite with views to match. After indulging in a mouthwatering meal, take a seat around the boma (traditional campfire) to share stories from your game drives over a glass of South African vino while countless stars twinkle overhead.

Conservation
Conservation
Chobe Chilwero’s parent company, Sanctuary Retreats has partnered with Rhino Conservation Botswana to translocate 20 rhinos, both black and white, from South Africa into the Moremi Reserve in Botswana where they will be safer from poachers. There they are under protection 24/7 and have a greater chance for survival because of this project.
Community
Community
Sanctuary Retreats runs The Bike Shop Programme in Kenya, a community initiative that empowers local communities through mobility. Providing bikes helps health care workers see more patients, students make the journey to school, middle- to low-income workers get to work in an affordable manner, and families carry more goods to and from home.
