Location
Escarpment Luxury Lodge, as the name suggests, is a high-quality property located on the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley gorge with spectacular views overlooking Lake Manyara. perfectly positioned within easy access to 3 major national parks, it is the perfect safari base.
Accommodation
The lodge has 16 spacious private chalets with beautiful wooden floors, wide windows and its own private deck with views over the lake below. Each chalet has a large bed, small lounge area with leather buttoned sofa, safari furniture and authentic African artefacts and decorations. The deep Victorian bath in the en-suite bathroom is where you can again enjoy fantastic views while soaking in the suds at the end of the day and the outdoor shower brings you even closer to nature.
The superbly appointed bar, lounge and dining room are wonderful areas to relax in comfort during the day or in the evenings, admiring the sights and sounds all around you. It is a supremely tranquil environment with abundant bird life all around the lodge, and Maasai communities tending to their cows and daily duties. Sometimes local villagers provide evening entertainment in the form of traditional singing and dancing.
If you tire of relaxing spa treatments and the beautiful pool, head out on foot around the lodge with a Maasai warrior admiring commanding views over the Great Rift Valley.
