Etendeka was founded over 25 years ago in partnership with the local Omantendeka and Anabeb communities.
This joint venture has proven highly successful, providing mutual benefit to the lodge and local people, as well as the wild places they protect.

Accommodation
With a maximum of 16 guests, you are assured personal attention in a relaxed atmosphere. Each of the 10 double or twin-bedded Meru tents are comfortably appointed, with a veranda from which to enjoy the view.
Water is of high quality, but in short supply, so you’ll enjoy eco-friendly hot bucket showers.

Explore the arid plains surrounding the camp on a game drive absorbing the diversity of the region and spotting desert adapted wildlife.
If you enjoy walking you can either set off on a self-guided sundowner walk to the top of a hill enjoying the beautiful viewpoint or take a guided nature walk one morning to understand in more depth the flora and fauna, discovering the smaller creatures sharing the land with you.
Back at camp, you can do stargazing as your hosts point out constellations and show you the brightest start in the sky – Sirius.
