Location
Nestled in perfect harmony within their idyllic surroundings, ten eco-friendly private beach villas delicately sit along the golden beachfront. It's a scenic 45-minute journey to Fanjove Island by boat or dhow. As soon as you arrive, you walk through the warm shallows onto the stunning white sand beach.
Accommodation
The villa's design is flawless, a stunning combination of comfort and culture. From the large plush bed to the ensuite open-air shower to the intricately carved wooden doors, nothing has been missed. You walk through to the front room, where unprecedented ocean views greet you with a smile, to sit on the cosy sofa or gorgeous hammock is your only dilemma.
Each dining experience is framed by stunning sea views and kissed by a gentle breeze through the open air lounge and restaurant area. An exquisite chandelier hangs above the luxurious sofa you're resting on, before walking out to the beach side dining table to eat the freshly caught fish you ordered from the multicultural menu.
The entire property has been planned to leave as little of an environmental impact as possible. All of the rooms are powered by solar energy, and the structures are made of sustainable wood, thatch, and mukuti (palm leaves).

Experiences
- Walk along a Fangrove Nature Trial whilst your local guide shares their knowledge of the island's history and customs of the island.
- Embark on a Marine Safari for a chance to spot and possibly swim with Spinner Dolphins and Bottlenose Dolphins.
- With visibility of up to 30 metres and beautiful warm waters, snorkelling provides the best way to look at the underwater marine gardens.
- Grab your binoculars and head to the secluded look-outs to watch the migratory birds in this lush habitat (November-March)

Fanjove Private Island is part of the Selous Safari Company. They have been investing in the future of Tanzania since the company began in 1988. These causes have been funded by both Selous Safari Company and generous guest donations.
Environment
The island resort has been designed to be as eco-friendly as possible without interfering with the guests' experience. This includes using a solar power system and sustainable building materials.
