Location
You’ll be approximately an hour away from Liberia International Airport on a 1,700 acre peninsula in the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica. The area’s four beaches offer visitors varying atmospheres and landscapes. At Carbon Beach you’ll find black, volcanic sands and calm waters, ideal for children to play in. Conejo Beach is small but dramatic with rocks and coves, perfect for picnics with a scenic view. Cabuya Beach is almost half a mile long, making it the best choice for lingering walks and horse riding. Finally, Platanares Beach is wild and rugged with rock pools waiting to be explored by little hands and feet.
Accommodation
The property features five ranchos, each with a neat white facade topped with a thatched roof. Inside, the decor is elegant and considered with a natural, earthly theme throughout. The outside is delicately and tastefully brought in with natural sculptures made from coral, coconuts and branches.
Four of the ranchos are set on Cabuya beach, mere yards away from the sparkling turquoise ocean, and the fifth, slightly larger than the rest with a spacious living room and dining area, enjoys a jungle setting, cocooned in greenery. Each has a comfortable main bedroom on the ground floor with a further bedroom on the first floor - both are equipped with en-suite bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers.

You’ll find the main house in the middle of the ranchos. There’s a living and dining area, both with views over the sea. The two-tier terrace and vast pool are the perfect spots for relaxing, refreshing and whiling away a few hours, a cool cocktail in hand.
Experiences
- Feel truly connected to nature as you explore beaches and jungle on horseback. If you enjoy riding, you can also learn to play polo back at the house.
- A trip to Costa Rica wouldn’t be complete without water activities. Try your hand at kayaking, fishing, paddle boarding and boogie boarding and, beneath the surface, snorkelling and scuba-diving.
- Accompanied by the resident naturalist enjoy walks and hikes.
- Families enjoy learning from the horsemen who work the farm and teach you how to milk and herd cattle, and even lasso.
- Adrenalin junkies will love biking the property’s dirt paths and taking quad bikes up to the best coastline viewing points.
