Location
The hotel is ideally located in the vibrant and historic Lastarria neighbourhood of Chile’s capital city, Santiago. You will be within easy reach of multiple fascinating attractions such as parks and sites of historic interest, to say nothing of great places to eat.
Accommodation
The building which now houses Hotel Luciano K was designed in the 1920s by architect Luciano Kulczewski. It has been lovingly updated since then, but still retains the glamour of the era in which it was designed. At the time of its construction, it was the tallest building in Chile.
The hotel has 38 rooms spread out between many floors. The rooms are very well-equipped: expect top comfort and more than a touch of elegance. Guests can choose from a range of room categories, from standard rooms to a large and luxurious suite. The fixtures are sleek, the furniture is exquisite, and the plush linens and furnishings are immaculately kept. Being located right in the bustle of a large city, you will be glad of the hotel’s triple glazing.
The ground floor of the hotel contains the grand entrance hall, as well as a sauna, bar, and gourmet restaurant serving dishes made from top-quality ingredients. A rooftop terrace offers spectacular views over Parque Forestal and beautiful Alameda Avenue below. The terrace is home to the hotel bar (pop in for exclusively-designed cocktails and tapas) and swimming pool.
Experiences
- Stroll around the bohemian districts of Lastarria and Bellavista, both right on the doorstep of the hotel. Visit the house of the late poet Pablo Neruda, which now houses a museum.
- Hop onto the metro or take a 20-minute stroll to see the presidential palace and Santiago’s central square.
- Just 90 minutes from Santiago is the ski resort of Valle Nevado, with some of the best snow sport options in the whole of the Andes.
- At nearly 1000 ft, the Sky Costanera building offers a breathtaking city-wide view of Santiago, but is not recommended if you suffer from vertigo.
- Visit any one of the numerous museums featuring ancient South American artefacts. Our recommendation is the Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombino.
