At the Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica you will holiday in the depths of a rainforest, sleeping in your own wooden cabana inspired by the indigenous Ese Eja culture. The hotel has a privileged view of the Amazon and its birds, as it’s situated on the Madre de Dios River.
The cabanas come in four categories all of which are luxurious and they’re spread across a large area to maximise privacy.
Whichever cabana you choose, you will have a covered terrace with plunge pool, loungers, and an outdoor shower, so it’s likely you’ll spend as much time outside as inside, if not more. The beds are made with superior cotton sheets, and and plush robes and slippers are supplied.

When you wake each morning, sample the international breakfast buffet, which has fresh local fruit and other products.
It’s then time to head out into the reserve, which you can explore by hiking the nature trails or by crossing the over the canopy bridge high amongst the trees. Returning in the afternoon, might we suggest a massage at the ENA Spa, and then a free Pisco sour during the hotel’s nightly cocktail hour.
