Set within the bounds of the Bandhavgarh National Park, you’ll gaze out from your kutiya cottage and be greeted by the elegant canes of a bamboo thicket.
Mahua Kothi is a rustic homestead comprised of 12 standalone luxury cottages set amidst a 45 acre private forest on the periphery of the Bandhavgarh National Park. The guest area overlooks a large grassland where monkeys sit and play and technicolour birds preen themselves in the sun.
The mud cottages, or kutiyas, are built in the local style of architecture. They are simple but comfortable inside, with large beds, quality textiles, and en suite bathrooms.

You wander from your cottage along a pathway to the main guest areas, which are housed in a large brick building with deep verandas. A bean shaped pool, screened by a bamboo thicket and shaded by mahua trees, is perfect for cooling off at midday. The dining hall has a large fireplace to keep you warm during chilly evenings.
Dining at Mahua Kothi is a treat. You can assist the chefs by picking fresh vegetables and fruit from the organic gardens, which are also used by the therapists in the spa for facials, massages, and other relaxing treatments.
