A conservation success story
Adding to Mombo Camp’s unrivalled credentials, it was also the site where the reintroduction of the black and white rhino into the wilds of Botswana took place in the early 2000’s. A hugely important project for the future of the species, there are often scheduled talks from experts on rhino conservation at Mombo. Though the rhinos remain elusive, sightings in the area are becoming ever more frequent.
