Location
Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is located directly on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater, where gigantic tusked elephants roam the forests, male lions prowl the grasslands and breathtaking wildlife views await you.
Accommodation
Inspired by ancient African architecture, the lodge offers elegance and true luxury with deep ruby reds and rich purple tones complimented by magnificent chandeliers and rich mahogany wood.
In keeping with the natural splendour of its surroundings, the guest rooms welcome you with a huge bedroom and lounge area. The sumptuous bathroom is completed with an inviting luxury bathtub and the private veranda offers magnificent views out across the crater 1500ft below.

There is one spacious family suite available with two ensuite rooms, the lodge proudly welcomes children of all ages and provides the exciting WILDchild program to educate and entertain.
The lodge actually takes the form of three camps (30 rooms including the family suite are thoughtfully located across them). For a truly intimate experience, each one boasts its own sitting and dining areas, and private butlers providing exemplary service at all times.
Hearty breakfasts, buffet lunches and four course dinners quell appetites sharpened by fresh air and safari excitement. The open terraces and wide courtyards enhance the lodge’s unique panorama.

Ngorongoro Crater Lodge’s parent company; &Beyond was formed in 1991 with the goal of successfully demonstrating that a financially sound, wildlife-based tourism operator could make a significant contribution to conservation and biodiversity, whilst also promoting sustainable community development. Falling back on the true definition of responsible travel; travel that not only positively impacts the land and its wildlife, but also the people who live in and around these wildlife areas, they have achieved this goal.

A considerable amount of daily intervention by &Beyond is required to help maintain a harmonious balance in the fragile ecosystems within which they operate. Doing things in sustainable ways allows Mother Nature to run her course and maintain this balance.
