Galapagos Islands
Theory
MV Theory, along with its identical sister ships, MVs Origin and Evolve, are the only cruise yachts operating in the Galapagos under the affiliation of Relais & Chateaux. There is no doubt that these ships assure their guests the highest standards of comfort, service and cuisine whilst experiencing this unique environment.

Location
The MV Theory, based Puerto Baquerizo Moreno on San Cristóbal Island, glides in style around the waters of the Galapagos Island archipelago. It operates along two different 7-day routes, swiftly moving between the islands so that guests can maximise their time ashore.
Accommodation
The MV Theory was custom built by Ecoventura, incorporating feedback from 20 years of transporting cruise passengers in style. With a crew of 14, including 2 specialised naturalists for its 20 guests, MV Theory sets the standards in terms of small, personalised sailing around the Galapagos.
It has just 10 guest rooms, which come with either a King or Twin bed formation and have very large, ocean facing windows. The decor is neutral, the floors polished wood, and there are thoughtful touches such as a pair of binoculars.

On board facilities include a cozy lounge and library, a 6-person jacuzzi, an outdoor shower, a bar, barbeque, plenty of sun loungers and hammocks, and a lower-deck gym that is available round-the-clock. Unlike most boats, the MV Theory has an open bar policy, but you may be more interested to know that it also has an open bridge policy. Any kids aboard will love visiting the bridge; younger passengers are also kept busy with snack-making activities.
As a Relais & Chateaux yacht, you will not be surprised to know that the food on MV Theory is superb. Dinner is served as a four course menu on the top deck at marble tables that accommodate two to eight guests. Breakfast and lunch are less formally arranged as buffets, with lunch often served on the Skydeck.

Experiences
- Take a trip out on MV Theory’s glass bottom boat to see the wonders of the ocean below without getting wet. The yacht also has a Zodiac for shore landings and, unlike larger vessels, there’ll be no waiting to board.
- Make use of one of the boat’s paddleboards or kayaks to burn a few calories whilst getting close to nature. There’s snorkelling equipment too.
- Learn from the two on-board naturalists whilst on the yacht and when you go ashore. They are experts on the flora and fauna of the diverse islands and the surrounding seas.
- After an evening briefing or lecture, take a soak in the jacuzzi whilst looking up at the sparkling heavens.
