Accommodation
You can choose to stay in Tortilis’ two-bedroom private house or the family tent, both great choices for families or groups, or in one of the camp’s 16 tents. Each of these has glorious mountain views, a spacious veranda, and twin or double beds in the comfortable main bedrooms.
The canvas sides of the tents roll up to reveal the surrounding wilderness; inside are attractively woven rugs on wooden floors, brightly coloured throws, comfortable chairs, and antique trunks.

Experiences
  • Dining at Tortilis is an absolute pleasure - enjoy produce grown in the lovingly tended on site garden at your table overlooking Mt. Kilimanjaro.

  • The camp enjoys unrivalled views of Kilimanjaro from several communal areas and some of the guests’ tents too.

  • Guiding standards at Tortilis are exceptionally high. Most of the guides, who have a combined 80 years’ experience between them, are Masai and, having grown up in this wilderness, know it inside out.

  • Amboseli is well-known for its healthy elephant population and the Tortilis guides know the individuals and their familial relationships well.
