Location
Vina Vik is a property of more than 10,000 acres, approximately two hours south of Santiago. In the Millahue Valley of the eastern edge of the Cordillera de la Costa range, it boasts wonderful views of the Andes mountains.
Accommodation
The 22 suites are as superb as you would expect from the statement that this extraordinary building makes from its sheer presence. Each suite features enormous floor-to-ceiling windows that seem to project and enhance the incredible views right into the rooms.
The four Master Suites occupy the corners of the buildings, so they have even larger and more expansive vistas, but whatever room you occupy, you will reside in opulent elegance. Built in 2006, this is a place where every modern comfort is afforded to guests, from huge beds to magnificent ensuite bathrooms, stylish furnishing and the very best of modern art.
A vast cantilevered swimming pool teeters over the hillside over the Millahue Valley and lagoon; you will feel as though you are swimming above the vineyard. Unwind at the “Wine Spa”, where treatments are inspired by the landscape, and Vik grapes are incorporated into the massages, facials, and body scrubs.

Not surprisingly, the menu is designed around the Vik wines, rather than the other way round, but it’s also a place where you will be introduced to a host of Chilean specialities, including the traditional barbeque.
For a place where wine and fine dining is paramount, you will be pleased to hear that their (non-alcoholic) breakfast spread is also superb.
Views from the restaurant, either from inside or on its expansive terrace, overlooking the valley and mountains, are second-to-none. The terrace is an ideal spot to do a bit of star gazing in this largely cloudless location.

- A tour of this ambitious and beautiful estate will be a highlight of your time in Chile. If you are here during the harvesting season, you will have an even more authentic experience by joining in the picking of the grapes and then witnessing first-hand the next steps in the process.
- As a guest of the estate, you will have freedom to wander, perhaps to have a picnic amongst the vines, perhaps to explore on a bike or on the back of a horse.
- For an even more exciting horseback experience, guests often set off along an ancient trail into the Andes, accompanied by an authentic Chilean huaso.
- You can also arrange a cookery lesson with the Vina Vik’s chef so that you can learn to cook the best dishes to complement the taste of the wine that you will be taking home.
- Finally, you may want to visit other nearby vineyards: but given what you will have experienced on-site, there may be no point!

At VIK, sustainable development is a fundamental pillar which underpins the property and vineyards. VIK’s sustainable efforts are focussed on mitigation, recovery and improvement of the land. This is done through implementing a sustainable state-of-the-art winery, which uses free cooling, solar energy and natural insulation throughout.

In an effort to offset the carbon emissions created by the vineyard and property, VIK has surrounded their 1,000 acres of vines with 1,000 acres of forest having planted over 500 new trees!
