Why Kidepo?
Cheetah, leopard and lion may not come to mind first when thinking of Uganda, but Kidepo Valley is a different beast – literally – from the rainforest mountains of Mgahinga and Bwindi. Kidepo is off Uganda’s beaten track and if you’re willing to make the journey, you’ll be rewarded with thrilling game drive experiences. Visiting during the dry season is sure to yield remarkable sightings, as both the Kideopo and Narus rivers disappear completely. Animals have no choice but to gather around remaining pools of water, sometimes migrating long distances for a cool drink.
