Why Guanacaste?
Tamarindo is our Guanacaste go-to for sun and sand. This beachside town is relaxed and has great weather all year round, but rarely sees crowds so it’s as lovely for relaxation as it is for watersports. Tamarindo also borders the Marino Las Baulas National Park, which is one of the country’s most important sites for leatherback turtle nesting. The mangrove swamps and quiet beaches are protected for egg-laying between November and April. The park is also home to white ibis, cattle egret and blue-winged teal duck, as well as capuchin and howler monkey.
Playa Hermosa is another of Guanacaste’s premier diving and snorkelling sites, but if you prefer to stay above the surface, there are plenty of opportunities for sea kayaking, jet skiing, windsurfing and boating. Enjoy a peaceful sunset catamaran ride before returning to your exclusive waterfront accommodations.
