Both the Kwando and Okavango Rivers cross the Caprivi Strip, creating a remarkable landscape of rapids and wetlands. Mahango National Park – part of Namibia’s larger Bwabwata National Park – is great for wildlife viewing including elephant, lion and several species of antelope. Nearby Mudumu National Park is also known for its large herds of plains game. Don’t miss the wetlands of Mamili, where red lechwe, sitatunga and large pods of hippo thrive.
