Africa Exclusive’s business office is at 18 Mobbs Miller House, Christchurch Road, Northampton, NN1 5LL and we are a company registered in England and Wales under company number 2503049. We are registered on the Information Commissioner's Office Register; registration number ZA029830, and act as the data controller when processing your data.

Africa Exclusive processes your personal information to meet our legal, statutory and contractual obligations and to provide you with our products and services. We will not process your information in any way, other than as specified in this notice.

The personal data that we collect from you includes but is not limited to: -

- Special Category Data (i.e. health/medical information etc)

Africa Exclusive takes your privacy very seriously and will never disclose, share or sell your data without your consent; unless we are required to do so to process your booking, ensure that your travel arrangements run smoothly and meet your requirements, we have a legitimate interest, or we are required to do so by law. We only retain your data for as long as is necessary and for the purpose(s) specified in this notice.

Where you have consented to us providing you with promotional offers and marketing, you are free to withdraw this consent at any time. The purposes and reasons for processing your personal data are detailed below: -

- We collect your personal data in the performance of a contract or to provide a service, to ensure that your travel arrangements run smoothly and meet your requirements

We do not share or disclose any of your personal information without your consent, other than for the purposes specified in this notice or where there is a legal requirement. Africa Exclusive uses third-parties to provide some services and business functions.

- We use Google Analytics to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. - We use Hotjar to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. Africa Exclusive takes your privacy seriously and takes every reasonable measure and precaution to protect and secure your personal data. We work hard to protect you and your information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction and have several layers of security measures in place, including: -

- Firewalls, anti-virus and malware

Africa Exclusive utilise some products or services (or parts of them) that may be hosted/stored in non-EU countries which means that we may transfer any information which is submitted by you through the website or other forms outside the European Economic Area ("EEA") for the below purposes: -

- To process your booking and ensure that your travel arrangements run smoothly and meet your requirements.
- Mailchimp (to deliver our e-newsletters)
- IContact (to deliver our e-newsletters)

Therefore, when you book a holiday with us, use our website, sign up to our newsletter etc, the personal information you submit may be stored on servers which are hosted outside the EU. Where this is the case, we will take steps to ensure that those providers use the necessary level of protection for your information and abide by strict agreements and measures set out by Africa Exclusive to protect your data and comply with the relevant data protection laws.

You are not obligated to provide your personal information to Africa Exclusive, however, as this information is required for us to perform our contractual obligations, provide you with our services and legitimate interests, we will not be able to offer some/all our services without it.

As noted in the ‘How We Use Your Personal Data’ section of this notice, we occasionally process your personal information under the legitimate interests’ legal basis. Where this is the case we have a legitimate interest in carrying out the processing for the purpose of managing, operating or promoting our business and we have weighed your interests and any risk posed to you against our own interests; ensuring that they are proportionate and appropriate.

Africa Exclusive only ever retains personal information for as long as is necessary in connection with the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice, unless we are required by law to have a longer retention period. We have review and retention policies in place to meet these obligations.

Where you have consented to us using your details for direct marketing, we will keep such data until you notify us otherwise and/or withdraw your consent.

Owing to the products and services that we offer, Africa Exclusive sometimes needs to process sensitive personal information (known as special category data) about you to fulfil a contract. Where we collect such information, we will only request and process the minimum necessary for the specified purpose and identify a compliant legal basis for doing so.
