Hotel Antumalal was designed in the Bauhaus style, favouring a harmony of design and function, geometrical lines, and a lack of ornamentation. The result is a minimalist structure which fits perfectly into its natural surroundings, without fuss or embellishment. Its position on a cliff edge, together with its floor-to-ceiling windows, gives guests unfettered views of the vast lake below.
We will help you decide between the attractive rooms in the main building, and five private chalets in the gardens. The rooms are warm and elegant, with open fireplaces and locally made furniture. The throws and blankets are handwoven by the local Mapuche community. The serene Spa Antumaco allows guests to unwind with a choice of massages and treatments. The pools are carved into the cliff’s rock, so you always feel connected to nature.
The restaurant, serving delicacies of the Araucanía region, offers unrivalled views over Lake Villarrica. There has been a restaurant here since the hotel opened in 1950 and the founders’ origins in Prague is reflected in the menu, which combines Central European traditions with Southern Chilean flavours.
