Antarctica is the ultimate adventure destination, but even those fortunate enough to come here rarely have the opportunity to spend much time ashore. This is why the Nat Hab Australis is different. The seven passengers onboard are issued with special permits from the National Science Foundation, granting privileged access to the continent and the unique itinerary is entirely exclusive.
During your 10 days in Antarctica, you will explore remote coves, beaches, and icebound headlands. There are nights when you will camp ashore, accompanied only by seal and penguin. You can hike for extended periods and you will kayak in small, guided groups so you can quickly improve your paddling skills.
The Australis is a 75’ ice strengthened sailing vessel. It’s fully rigged, but also has powerful motors onboard. The interior is cosy, yet comfortable: you will sleep in twin cabins and share a bathroom with the other guests (the crew is accommodated separately). Meals are hearty and tasty and some are served in the barbecue area on the deck. Climb to the top of the crow’s nest for unforgettable views.
