Awasi Iguazu describes itself not as a resort but as a refuge, and it’s certainly a welcome retreat from the stresses of everyday life. Toucan and other tropical birds hop around in the trees which surround the 14 private villas, each one of which is built on stilts.
The materials, colours and textures of the rainforest have inspired the villas’ design. In fact, as the windows run floor to ceiling, you don’t feel there’s a barrier between you and the forest outside. Every villa has a wrap-around wooden deck with its own plunge pool, loungers and outdoor shower, as well as comfortable interior seating areas, huge beds and bathrooms whose floor area seems to exceed that of entire London flats.
Chef Aarón Castillo Tellería takes his responsibility as your culinary guide very seriously: he believes in the ritual of food. He takes his inspiration from the flavours of Argentina and from seasonal produce growing in his kitchen garden. Each dish is magnificently presented, a feast for all your senses.
