The owners and staff at Casa de Uco live and breathe wine, and the vineyard and resort go hand in hand. The stark, contemporary structure of the building stands out from the surrounding landscape, but once you’re inside the clever use of glass and light blurs the lines between indoors and outdoors.
You have a choice between rooms, suites, and villas, but as there’s only a small number of each, the resort still has an intimate feel. The interior designer has picked up on the greys and greens of the mountains in the rooms’ colour scheme, and wood and other natural materials also feature prominently. Beds are made with Egyptian cotton linens, there’s a 42” HD TV, and the mini bar is well stocked with Argentinian wine and a selection of snacks.
Hotel guests and day visitors flock to Casa de Uco’s restaurant and bar. This is the ideal place to savour the wines produced in the vineyards, but also to taste the best in Argentinian farm-to-table cuisine.
