Chem Chem

Lake Manyara National Park, Tanzania

What is evident at Chem Chem is the dedication and passion that went into creating this place. The camp’s founders had a vision to conserve and protect Tanzania’s natural surroundings and the creatures that call it home. They invite you to join them in making this vision a reality. Simply by staying here you are making a difference, since tourism levies go directly to the local communities.

The camp’s main lodge has a number of luxurious tent-style suites. Standard suites are large enough to sleep two adults and a child; the family tent will accommodate two adults and up to three children in comfort. Guests over six years old are welcome, and younger guests can stay if you take the lodge for exclusive use.

Take a sunrise hike with a lakeside lunch, perhaps seeing the seasonal flocks of flamingo on Lake Manyara. Children will love day and night game drives and even a hot air balloon ride, overlooking the wildlife from above in this once in a lifetime experience. Learning traditional skills from Maasai warriors, your children will become expert trackers in no time.
