Chief's Camp

Chiefs Island, Botswana

Experience island life and enjoy the beautiful views of the Delta at the celebrated Sanctuary Chief’s Camp. This sumptuous haven on Chief’s Island provides unspoilt viewing of wildlife and thrilling activities on the Delta.

Guests can choose from a range of large suites, with spacious pavilions featuring outside seating areas as well as a private plunge pool on the terrace. If you opt for the new Geoffrey Kent Luxury Suite, you will have your own staff and private vehicle, as well as access to a private bar, boma, lounge and kitchen.

The camp’s decor is stylish and ties in with the safari setting of the Delta, which is renowned for its big cat and bird population and has protected status. Start your day early as your tent attendant brings you freshly brewed coffee before setting off on a game drive. Late afternoon game drives end with cocktails and canapés at sunset before returning to camp for a spectacularly prepared candlelit dinner.

If you fancy an adventure, you may choose to ride in a traditional mokoro (dugout canoe), expertly guided along the labyrinth of waterways. You may even choose to join the birds for an exciting helicopter ride over the Delta, watching as herds of elephant wander across the incredible vistas below.
