Let us Show You Nature’s Most Spectacular Wonderlands

When was the last time you arrived somewhere, the sight of which made you lost for words? This is exactly the sort of impact that we hope to inspire every time we craft a trip for you to the world’s most awe-inspiring destinations.

We have chosen the most dramatic of nature’s wonders, partnering with the hotels and lodges which show them at their best. Waking up in the morning and throwing open the curtains, what do you want to look out on? It could be thousands of migrating wildebeest in the Ngorongoro Crater or the majestic spray of South America’s Iguazu Falls.

What this diverse selection of properties has in common is that they’ve been imaginatively designed to make the most of the extraordinary landscapes they call home. Some architects have created statement buildings whose shapes stand out, yet somehow complement the space; on other occasions they blend in seamlessly with the surroundings so you scarcely realise they’re there at all. Rooms will invariably be oriented to show you the most dramatic panoramas, no matter the time of day.

Accommodation:
Ngorongoro Crater Lodge

Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is a spectacular safari lodge, located on the rim of the World Heritage Ngorongoro Crater. The striking, architect designed lodge consists of traditional mud huts with an unexpectedly luxurious twist; one hides a library, another has vintage furniture.

Accommodation:
Wildflower Hall

Oberoi’s luxury Wildflower Hall is a mountain palace nestled in the hills of Shimla, 8,000 feet above sea level, and a retreat for the powerful and wealthy for centuries. At Wildflower you can savour the fresh air and spectacular views at the top of the world.

Accommodation:
Tierra Patagonia

Emerging from the hillside is a fascinating piece of award-winning architecture: The Tierra Patagonia Hotel and Spa. With magnificent views of the Torres del Paine National Park, this hotel is a luxurious yet cosy hideaway in the heart of Chilean Patagonia.

Highlight:
White Desert

White Desert’s Whichaway Camp is a unique Antarctic safari camp like nowhere else. The camp is surrounded by endless fields of snow and ice, rocky hills as old as time, and sleeping pods which would not look out of place on the moon.

Accommodation:
Belmond Hotel das Cataratas

The natural spectacle which is Iguazu Falls is just metres away from Belmond Hotel das Cataratas, the only hotel located within Brazil’s Iguazu National Park. You’ll be able to see the falls in the early morning before the crowds, and hear their roar as you enjoy an evening drink.
