Los Potreros is not too far from Cordoba, but away from the tourist trail. Staying here you are part of the Begg family, and you can ride out on horseback with the gauchos, learning firsthand about their work and traditions. There are superb opportunities for polo and hiking, not to mention bird watching and swimming in the lakes. The joy of relaxing in a hammock on the veranda cannot be overrated, however, so we suggest you also make time for that.
Only 12 guests can stay at Los Potreros, which keeps the intimate family home feel. The accommodation is simple and traditional, with log burners in the guest rooms. The beds are antique, the linens of the highest quality, and decorative items range from carriage clocks to Victorian oil lamps.
This is a farm, so as the beef, vegetables, herbs and breads are produced on site. The accompanying wines will have travelled from carefully chosen estates around Mendoza, or you might select one of Los Potreros own label vintages. Everyone dines together, and the conversation is as good as the food.
