Gayana Eco Resort

This resort is comprised of immaculate tropical island villas which hover just above the water and have wonderful views of the surrounding landscapes. An integral part of the resort is its on-site Marine Ecology Research Centre with its focus on conserving and regenerating the island’s treasured marine environment.

Choose from a range of contemporary, yet sumptuous villas, each reflecting the unique views they offer. Ocean Villa features a private balcony with stairs leading down to the water, and in Palm Villa you have your own plunge pool and a glass floor in the living area: watch vibrant fish dance beneath your feet as you sip your morning coffee or tea. The villas look especially spectacular when lit up at night, stretching along the bay.

Choose your own fish from a variety of live tanks in the resort’s fabulous seafood restaurant, Alu-Alu, or visit their all-day dining venue, Macac, serving western fusion food with a Malaysian twist. Then spend the evening watching the sunset and sipping cocktails at Latitude Bar. You can also opt for a private dining experience in your own villa.

The Echo Wellness Spa enables guests to completely unwind whilst being enchanted by the bay’s aquamarine waters. Join resident marine biologists in replanting vital corals in this aquatic haven, or experience firsthand encounters with delicate seahorses or tiny bamboo sharks.
