Kigelia Camp is situated high on the banks of the Ifiguru Sand River, in a secluded grove of Kigelia trees (meaning ‘sausage trees’). The camp has six tented suites, ensuring an intimate and exclusive experience. Each tent is well-furnished, with wooden furniture and a safari-style outdoor bucket shower. The king size beds are a welcome retreat after a day’s adventures, and you will have your own private veranda to relax with a drink.
The camp has its own kitchen and dining area, where you will enjoy simple yet delicious meals, inspired by local flavours and traditions. You can even opt to dine in private, under Tanzania’s vast, starry skies. Alternatively, choose to spend your evenings relaxing by the campfire and getting to know your fellow campmates.
Kigelia Camp has its own fleet of custom-built game drive vehicles. Join one of their expert guides and explore the national park in comfort. Get close to lion, elephant, and buffalo, or simply grab your binoculars and enjoy a spot of bird-watching in one of Tanzania’s most biodiverse regions.
