Old Mondoro

Lower Zambezi, Zambia

Old Mondoro Bushcamp is a perfect place to escape the routine and immerse yourself in the beauty of the Zambezi National Park. A wide range of activities are available for guests: get up early and discover more about Zambia’s complex ecosystem on a guided walk, or head out on a night drive with a local expert. Keep an eye out for leopard, as the area is famous for sightings of the elusive cat, as well as a large number of birds and game.

Explore the waterways by canoe with the camp’s resident expert Marshall Karafa to point out the local wildlife. If you’d prefer you can always sit back and enjoy a river safari, soaking up the beauty of the Zambezi with a drink in hand. Fishing enthusiasts can also arrange a private fishing trip.

Family accommodation at Old Mondoro is in comfortable canvas tents erected on top of wooden decks. Each tent has a king size bed or two singles, indoor and outdoor showers, and a huge splash tub overlooking the Zambezi River.
