Within a unique ecological reserve along the banks of the Napo River, Sacha Lodge is surrounded by wildlife. Spot coppery tamarin monkey, giant otter, boa constrictor, and many more wild creatures, as you trek through the rainforest with the lodge’s expert guides. Join one of the lodge’s expedition groups and let the rainforest envelop you. Try creek paddling, rafting, and tree climbing, or simply sit still and watch the exotic birds.
The lodge is incredibly well hidden in the rainforest. Natural materials such as wood and thatch are used alongside floor to ceiling glass, which blurs the line between the indoor and outdoor spaces. Some of the rooms have space for a third bed, but for a bit more room and comfort we suggest taking on one of Sacha’s three family cabins.
Guests at Sacha Lodge share use of The Balsa on the lakeside: this covered al fresco lounge area is a great place to read a book, witness Ecuador’s famous sunsets, or sit and watch the caiman in the water. The rustic wooden restaurant is right on the water’s edge, too. Dining in the jungle has never been so luxurious. The freshest ingredients - locally sourced wherever possible - are used to create gourmet cuisine.
