Sandibe Safari Lodge is on a private concession adjacent to Botswana’s Moremi Game Reserve. The advantage of this is that the wildlife wander back and forth but you are not limited by reserve rules, and so can drive off road whilst tracking game, and can also take night safaris.
The lodge has 12 air conditioned suites, all of which have en suite bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers. You can lounge on your own deck, then take a dip in your private plunge pool. Unusually for Botswana’s wilderness camps, you’ll even get WiFi in your suite!
One of the suites is set up for families, and children of all ages are welcome to enjoy the lodge’s WILDChild programme. This fabulous set of activities includes daily expeditions, interaction with the local community, craft projects, and special gifts perfect for exploring the bush.
The communal areas at Sandibe are lavish. There’s a focus on materials and furnishings which are organic and handmade, such as the dining table carved from the vast root of an ironwood tree. The boma is lantern lit at night, and you can sit around the fire listening to stories or gazing up at the stars.
