The Santa Cruz II starts and ends its Galapagos itineraries in Balta for maximum convenience. Sailings last five or seven days, and cover either the Western, Northern, or Eastern Galapagos Islands.
The ship is just over 70 m long and has five decks, comfortably accommodating 90 guests in 50 spacious cabins. Many of the cabins can be interconnected, so they’re suitable for families travelling together. They can be converted with either double or twin beds, and all have large outside windows. For a taste of luxury, choose one of the three Darwin Suites, which come with L’Occitane toiletries and special edition coffee table books you can take home as souvenirs.
The Santa Cruz II has the best communal areas of any ship sailing in the Galapagos. The solarium, sun deck, and fitness centre are at the top of the ship; on lower decks you’ll find the expedition lounge and library, Beagle Restaurant, Panorama Bar and Lounge, the hot tubs, and several verandas and terraces. There’s even enough outdoor space to have a barbecue as you sail!
