Singita Sasakwa Lodge

Serengeti, Tanzania

When you stay at Singita Sasakwa Lodge, the plains of the Serengeti roll out before you, as you look upon them from a superb vantage point.

The stately Edwardian style manor house has a timeless elegance, which is carried through in the design of the cottages. Attractive rugs lie upon polished wooden floors, there are high backed leather armchairs, and impressive gilt mirrors reflect your sumptuous surroundings on the walls. The lighting comes from glass chandeliers and table lamps, plus plenty of natural daylight. In the tiled bathrooms are free standing vintage bathtubs, perfect to lie back in after a morning game drive, and relax among the bubbles.

You have access to an excellent range of facilities, including a substantial outdoor swimming pool, a gym and a spa, though you can also receive treatments in your room. You might play a game of tennis on the clay court, or have a personalised wine tasting in Singita’s temperature controlled cellars. Such activities are, of course, in addition to guided safari walks, game drives, and behind-the-scenes visits to the nearby anti-poaching observation post.
