The Residence

Zanzibar, Tanzania

The Residence effortlessly blends contemporary style with Swahili, Omani, Indian, and British influences. Expect whitewashed walls, Arabian arches, and artistic touches throughout.

The resort has 66 spacious villas, each with their own private lounge deck and plunge pool (and a personal butler, on request). Each villa has an en suite marbled bathroom. You are just a few steps from the beach, and wherever you stand, you’ll have wonderful ocean views.

Relax by the pool with a delicious cocktail, or simply lounge on the beach just a few steps from the hotel. You can also wander in the hotel’s beautiful gardens, filled with a range of colourful and exotic plants. There is a wonderful spa, with a range of rejuvenating treatments, as well as a whirlpool, sauna, and steam room.

The hotel’s two restaurants give tastes the exotic flavours of the island. You can also choose to dine in a more intimate setting, by having lunch or dinner in your private villa.
