The Strand

Swakopmund, Namibia

The centrepiece of The Strand Hotel is its multi-storey atrium, which runs the depth of the hotel. Wherever you stand here, you can see the ocean and it’s become the social epicentre for locals and foreigners to meet in Swakopmund.

The hotel aims for - and meets - international four-star standards in both its facilities and standards of service. There are three different restaurants and a lounge bar, all of which feature sea-facing terraces. Other facilities include the spa and fitness centre, a beer garden, and beach kiosk.

Rooms and suites at The Strand are all attractively decorated and have sea or garden views. For maximum comfort and space, we suggest you take a Luxury Room or Junior Suite. You’ll have floor-to-ceiling sliding doors opening out onto a private balcony, separate sleeping and living areas as well as en suite bathrooms. If you are travelling with young children, the Luxury Rooms are large enough for an extra bed; you can also request interconnecting rooms.
