The Titilaka Hotel occupies a prominent location on a private peninsula jutting out into Lake Titicaca, the cradle of Andean civilisation. You could spend a lifetime just watching the changing light on the water and the shadows on the snow-capped peaks beyond.
The lodge is a boutique property with just 18 lake facing rooms. Depending on which side of the hotel you are on, you will see either the sunrise or the sunset through your huge picture windows. Lie out on the day bed and enjoy the panorama. The en suite bathrooms have underfloor heating, a shower, and a separate bathtub.
When you do step outside your room, you’ll find the hotel has three loungers, a restaurant, and a well-stocked bar. You can wander out onto the two private beaches, or set sail directly from the hotel’s jetty. There’s a wide choice of places to dine: we favour a table out on the terrace, where butlers will serve you lake trout and other highlights of contemporary Andean cuisine.
