The Amazon River is the largest river in the world, and the Meeting of Waters - the confluence of the Amazon and the Rio Negro – is so wide it’s like being at sea. More than one third of all known species in the world live in the Amazon rainforest, the area’s biodiversity is second to none. You’ll see the most wildlife when you take to the river, which is why we’re so adamant you must cruise.
Our ship of choice in the Amazon is the MV Premium, which hosts its guests in 16 main deck cabins, all of which have outside views.
This is an outstanding cruising experience, with queen size beds, en suite bathrooms, onboard lectures, and superb cuisine carefully prepared by expert chefs. We recommend you cruise for three days, which includes excursions to Janauaca Lake and the Janauari Ecological Park. The highlights of the cruise will be spotting pink river dolphin, caiman, and giant water lilies; sailing past the floating docks and markets of Manaus; and a night time canoe trip to see nocturnal wildlife.
