Animals and endless adventures

If you can imagine an outdoor activity, the chances are that Journeysmiths can arrange for you to do it in Kenya. There are deserts, there are lakes, and there are mountains, and in these wild places almost anything goes.

The Sera Community Conservancy is one of the most important developing wildlife conservancies in East Africa, and it is here that you have the rare and privileged opportunity to track black rhino in the wild. This on foot experience is unparalleled, and can be combined with game drives, trekking to sacred Mt. Ololokwe, and a scenic light aircraft flight above the dramatic northern frontier landscapes.

The topography of the Amboseli National Park is much flatter and more arid. At Tortilis, you might start the day with an early morning walk and a bush breakfast, breathing in deeply the fresh, clean air and marveling at the amazing views. There are plenty of chances for cultural visits, including to Maasai homesteads, and when you return to the camp in the evenings, sit back with a cool drink and watch the sun set over Mt Kilimanjaro.
