Chile’s Winelands centres on the Colchagua Valley. Protected on all sides by mountains, this sheltered spot is perfect for planting vineyards and orchards, and as such it is one of the most productive agricultural areas in the country.
There are dozens of fine wineries within the Colchagua Valley, many of which are open to visitors. We can take you there on horseback, or by horse drawn cart, by bicycle, and even by cable car! In March you can join in with the Grape Harvest Festival, and at other times of the year it’s possible to stay on an estate, take a masterclass in wine making, and, of course, to enjoy a gourmet lunch with wine tastings.
Tour Chile’s Winelands from the incredible Vina Vik. Founded by Norwegian winemaker Alexander Vik in 2004, the vineyard retreat is the baby of an inspired and obsessive team of oenologists, climentologists, geologists, viticulturalists, and agronomists. There’s nothing they don’t know about wine. The retreat they’ve built at Vik Winery is an exceptional wave of steel which sweeps past the vines, accommodating guests in equally 22 impressive suites.
