Victoria Falls

The quintessential tropical counterpart to an African safari

Victoria Falls is the largest waterfall system in the world when you factor in both width and height. Roughly twice as high as Niagara Falls, it’s a truly impressive spectacle, which should be viewed from multiple angles to maximise your experience.

Victoria Falls town is Zimbabwe’s hub for active tourism. Start your visit with a helicopter or microlight flight to admire the falls from the air and fly through the 400m high cloud of spray. Walk, then, along the opposite side of the gorge between the numerous well positioned vantage points to appreciate the falls breadth and the many rainbows.

At the bottom of the gorge you can white water raft and kayak through the numerous rapids, pushed along by the energy of the falls. It’s an adrenaline fuelled adventure, one which you’ll never forget.

Top off your experience with afternoon tea at Victoria Falls Hotel, the gardens of which look back up along the gorge.
