White Desert

South Pole

Whichaway Camp by White Desert has six spacious space-age sleeping pods. Each of the pods is made from cutting edge materials, but inside the rich interiors have an old-worldly feel. The lunar pods are well equipped, with writing desks, toilets, and wash areas, and they look out onto a landscape that would not be out of place in a David Attenborough documentary. The camp’s award winning chef serves up the tastiest of fresh foods.

Each day, you can choose from a wide array of exhilarating activities.

You can trek across the polar landscape at a leisurely pace, taking in giant ice sculptures and visiting impressive local science bases. Or, if you want to get the adrenaline pumping, then why not zipline over jagged ice rocks or climb up uncharted Antarctic icy cliffs? It’s only a short flight to Atka Bay, where you can witness one of the greatest wildlife spectacles in Antarctica, the waves of 6,000 emperor penguin marching towards you.
