Botswana for Families

Stay on private concessions for an exclusive family experience

If you long to gift your family with the most luxuriously authentic African experience, we may suggest a trip to Botswana. Much of the land has been preserved on private concessions with thriving wildlife populations of endangered species. The experience is always spectacularly exclusive.

No matter their interests, your children will never forget meerkats posting a sentry on their head under the fiery sunset of the Kalahari at Jack’s Camp or eating lunch in the company of elephants at Abu Camp. Adventurous families can take advantage of a helicopter ride over the Okavango Delta, watching vast herds of elephant, zebra and wildebeest traverse the maze of waterways below.

Parents can enjoy a sumptuous sundowner, relaxing with a glass of wine, while their children are tutored under local guides as a part of a Young Explorer’s experience, becoming experts in scat and tracking to find wildlife. Watch them build their confidence on game drives as they point out what they’ve learned just like a professional safari ranger.

Jack's Camp

A luxury camp that harks back to an era of glamour, Jack’s Camp is set in the spectacular Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, once one of the world’s largest super lakes. It’s a timeless, slightly eerie landscape with fabulous desert adapted wildlife and plenty of adventurous activities.
