Liuwa Plains
Liuwa Plain National Park is a special place. Wildlife here was nearly eradicated due to poaching and hunting, but the area has been protected since 2003 and nature is bouncing back.

  • Remote plains and wetlands.

  • Annual migration of 30,000 blue wildebeest and zebra.

  • 334 species of birds including grey-crowned cranes and storks.

  • Cultural encounters with Lozi people.

  • Small number of visitors creates an exclusive experience.

  • Best game viewing from May to November.
Days 5 - 8
Kafue
Established in 1950, Kafue National Park is Zambia’s oldest. It’s also the largest, spanning an area that is roughly the same size as the state of Massachusetts.

  • Vast parklands surround the Kafue River.

  • Particularly good for antelope and big cats.

  • African wild dog can also be spotted.

  • Dry season is ideal for safari.

  • Busanga Plains are excellent for herds of large game.

  • Fly in by bush plane and connect easily to other parks.

Lower Zambezi
The Lower Zambezi National Park is home to a wealth of wildlife. From the Zambezi River, the park extends across a range of escarpments, offering much-needed respite from the dry season.

  • A timeless safari experience in a riverine landscape.

  • Wide variety of wildlife including big cats and wild dogs.

  • Fabulous birdwatching including bee eaters and kingfisher.

  • Small number of exclusive lodges provide privacy.
